After fighting our way though the Hurricane and rush hour traffic Friday, Khon-Whey and Sue Anne were able to meet me at the Lucky’s pub downtown and get started with the shoot. The weather was strangely nice, making perfect to flow through an engagement shoot.  The parking was a bit crazy because of the baseball game, and we had to ignore several men with orange flags, making the parking a little weird. Those were the only minuses.

Christina and Justin met with me at Hardrock Cafe downtown. Downtown was looking pretty for the most part. The verizon wireless theatre, next door to the Hardrock was running a fund raiser for the hurricane. It extremely popular. It was a little awkward to meet there. You had to scream to talk. That was the only flaw, Justin and Christina had an awesome time and it shows in the pictures.

Saturday, Brittney and Josh met me at the bar in Hardrock. We relaxed a little, prayed the heat would kill itself. Which didn’t happen, but Briittney and Josh were very ambitious and endured the sweat. We went all over the place, and yea, got some nice images.

Katy’s my sister, and yes, we’re related by blood.    Katy and Joel are both of a couple of artists who do some pretty unique stuff.

We walked though the Montrose area and snapped a few.

On the 22 of June I met with Lindsay and Sky at his place to get warmed up. After shooting a few we headed downtown. Her friend, a manager at the Red Door bar, midtown, really helped us out. We got to shoot a few on the roof it was gorgeous light.

They two really cute dogs. The one on the right is a Chiwawa and the other is half pomeranian, half Yorkie.

Last Sunday we wondered through the warehouse area behind the George R. Brown and found some pretty cool backdrops. We went to Lucky’s afterwards for dinner. Thanks guys. I’m looking forward to the wedding in September!

Tamara & Mark

June 2, 2008

Saturday, Tamara and Mark met with me for the second time to take some engagement type portraits, (their already married). We had a shoot few weeks ago but half way through the shoot my first D3 decided to retire. A very depressing moment.  They wanted to have some fun with the trampoline, we got to goof a little the first time but I wasn’t satisfied shooting with the D200. It was a lot more fun, and took less tries with the insanely fast D3.

Sunday evening was perfect weather opposed to Saturday, ridiculously heated.  It took a few shots to get Michelle to get comfortable with a camera following her around.  Jeremy was a natural,  it’s almost the always the opposite.

Kevin and Amber were pretty out going and not afraid to show affection, making the shoot a lot of fun. The Japanese garden is officially no longer accessible by pro photographer which made us do a little more wondering than normal. As a result we found few new locations.

Saturday was perfect conditions for what we planned for the day.  We started out in downtown shot a few and then headed down to Kemah to go cruising out on the bay.   This first shot is Jennifer’s nephew.  Her sister, and family met up with us to eat at the Hardrock to have  a quick lunch. jenjb_000023.jpgjenjb_000022.jpgGood luck? jenjb_000021.jpgjenjb_000020.jpgjenjb_000019.jpgjenjb_000018.jpgjenjb_000017.jpgjenjb_000016.jpgjenjb_000015.jpgjenjb_000014.jpgjenjb_000012.jpg2.6 carats !! jenjb_000011.jpgjenjb_000010.jpgjenjb_000009.jpgjenjb_000008.jpgjenjb_000007.jpgjenjb_000006.jpgjenjb_000005.jpgjenjb_000004.jpgjenjb_000003.jpgjenjb_000002.jpgjenjb_000001.jpg
