Goofin with the camera
May 16, 2008
My good friend Ryan Terry swung by my place Tuesday. We goofed with our cameras and had fun on the trampoline.

This how I created the about page image. Didn’t look as cool this time.

Here’s a couple of random shots. Ryan caught a cute shot of my puppies playing around. I’m just kidding about the cuteness, they look viscous.

Me playing with the macro lens.

ryan shot this from under the trampoline. It looks like I’m falling off a building.

Close Up!!
February 21, 2008
My brother recently ask me to come over and shoot a couple of random photos of flowers and what-not for decoration of the house. We shot a bunch of those flower shots but these pics were much more fascinating to me. After we had shot several dozen of those flowers, we started to play the macro lens. The first shot is my brother’s eye and the second one is mine. It was a pain to focus so stinking close. The iris is pretty funky close up.
The 14mm lens

I just this lens as a present to myself for my birthday, which is this Saturday the 26th. It gives an insanely wide angle for some pretty unique shots.
I was about 8 inches away from Sophie’s face in these shots. I do have another dog but she’s kinda camera shy.
This image was shot at f/2.8, 1/20s @ 8000 ISO. That’s right, 8000 ISO!! The next image shows the actual pixels.
This is, if not better than, what the image would look like on the D200 (my old camera) at 800 ISO.
Goofin’ with the camera

Me and good friend of mine, Chris Aram, went and shot a few yesterday. There is a little farm not too far from my house that I’ve always wanted to stop by and shoot around. They have a bunch of old stuff just sitting around rusting, which make for some interesting subjects. I’m glad we got to shoot some. We weren’t able shoot all that we wanted because of the rain that was predicted kicked in when we stopped for lunch.

Texture Pics
December 3, 2007
It’s nice to go goof off with the camera every now and then. This past weekend I was able to go play around with the macro lens with Chris Aram, Adam Nyholt and Clint. We met up at Adam’s place downtown. Just walking around the block there gave a wide variety different texture shots.

My New Camera
September 14, 2007
Last week I was viewing another photographers work and was impressed with his polaroid images. This gave me the idea to put together my own little polaroid. I bought a cheep Holga medium format camera, which are $35, I already had the polaroid back that was collecting dust next to the other vintage cameras. With a little epoxy and duct tape, I got myself a pretty sweet camera. It’s something to play with and create some pretty artisic images.

Off to Rome, Italy
August 22, 2007
Rome was my favorite city of the whole vacation. Looking out the window of the train as we arrived into the city kinda worried me a little. I’ve never seen so much graffiti, some of it looked nice, but it certainly looked like we were headed into the hardcore ghetto. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Once we finally got to the heart of the city, it was quite beautiful, everything around you seemed unreal.

this is one of those guys staging to be a statue, hoping that you make a donation. By far the best one we saw.

The Pantheon

Its unbelievable when you walk in.

We were just walking in the street and I looked to the left as saw this randomly. I think it was the entrance to an apartment comlpex.

the Vatican

The Sistine Chapel. This was a funny experience. As you walk in there is security guy standing in the corner contantly screaming “Sir, No Picture!”, which was barely understandable, it sounded like he was saying “copy shirt”. The room was extremely packed wall to wall. And the majority of the people in the room had their arm extended high with their camera pointed up, a flash going off every few seconds. The security guy was quite annoyed. I tried to be as subtle as possible, which was kinda hard with the massive camera.

Not too exotic, but still very pretty.
