Renee & Josh’s engagement

September 23, 2008

Renee & Josh had initially planned to have the shoot at Northwest Forrest but that facility was still in progress cleaning up from ike. We ended up shooting in a park close to the Northwest Forrest, which worked out fine. Renee & Josh took me to a railroad close by. It seemed awesome at first. When we got out of the car, we got attacked by some large, black, blood hungry bugs; (the biggest mosquitoes I’ve never seen). It started “clapping time”. A large can of OFF would have been nice. It didn’t ruin the shoot, just sped things up a little.

Oops. I mean the 2nd to last shot :-)

  3. Danny, As Mother of the Groom I love them ALL. I am in tears – you have captured their youth, hope and love very well.
I especially love the third & fourth from the last…but love them all.

Wow… that shot across the lake… SO cool. And you rocked it on the RR tracks!

I am a hopeless romantic. I think all of the best romance films were filmed in black and white. That said, the last photo is my favorite. The love and mystery (the audience cannot see Renee’s face, but they can see Josh’s) is there. Romance is still alive and well with these two.
