Susan & Ted at the Zaza
May 28, 2008
Susan and Ted had a beautiful wedding at the Zaza, Sunday afternoon. There were family and friends present from all over the world. Fortunately everything went really smooth. The reception was a blast. I love it when the dance floor is crazy for the majority of the night.
A great photographer and good friend of mine Gary Guy really helped me out and shot second hand with me and Jessica. I posted about a dozen of his images. I didn’t want to take credit for his work, so I put a yellow tag in the corner of his images instead of having to say “another one of Gary’s shots”.

Gary got offered a shot. But the person offering it pointed out the fact that there was fly at the bottom. I think it was a part of the drink. mmmm.

Zaza wedding- over the pool
May 28, 2008
Saturday evening I had the privilege to shoot with Gary Guy at the awesome Zaza. This couple had a platform built over the pool to have the ceremony on. The backdrop of the beautiful hotel, with such a gorgeous sky created a pretty amazing image. It didn’t feel like you were in Houston. I felt a bit awkward getting the shot of the ceremony. I was up on a platform and it felt like everyone there was looking at me. I hope I did it justice.

Amber & Kevin’s wedding
May 27, 2008
Saturday morning Kevin and Amber got married at First Baptist Magnolia. They were really easy to work with. We took a lot of outside pictures because it was a beautiful day, but it certainly was not the perfect temperature. I was very impressed of how much they were willing to endure for a few cool images. No pun intended.

Elizabeth & Marlon’s engagement
May 23, 2008
Sunday afternoon was gorgeous and was perfect for great shots. Elizabeth and Marlon were very playful which I love and made it easy to get some fun images. I can’t wait for their wedding because Elizabeth and Marlon are getting married Playa del Carmen. Mexico is so awesome!

Jack’s baby shots
May 22, 2008
Sunday morning everybody at the shoot was a little tired from the night before. Sara, Jack’s mother, was a bridesmaid at Christine’s & Brad’s wedding. Fortunately it doesn’t show in the picture though. We had fun strolling through Herman Park and managed to sneak into the Japanese Garden. And surprisingly there were several other professional photographers there shooting and who weren’t being subtle or nimble with their massive equipment boxes and tripods. There’s just a sign at the front that says in bold letters “NO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS”. Anyways, Jack was blast take pics of.

Christine & Brad’s wedding
May 21, 2008
Late Saturday night Christine and Brad got married at the Sacred Heart Cathedral downtown. Christine and Brad were fun to work with but not everything went according to plan. We went outside after the ceremony to wait on the limo. Time passed… still waiting, more time and still no limo. The bride and groom jumped in the car with their parent slightly frustrated and went on to have some fun at the reception.

One of Ryan’s cool shots.

This is another one of Ryan’s

Laura & Brian’s wedding
May 19, 2008
Friday was a gorgeous day. Laura & Brian really lucked out in regards to the weather. I checked out the forecast at the beginning of the week and it was supposed to be nasty Thursday though Saturday. Fortunately that wasn’t too accurate. They got married at the Briscoe Manner, a very nice place and pretty convenient for me. My good friends 31 films were the videographer, who are the fun to work with and do impressive work.

Yes, he’s the one that caught the garter.

They had Whataburger taquitos served!

Goofin with the camera
May 16, 2008
My good friend Ryan Terry swung by my place Tuesday. We goofed with our cameras and had fun on the trampoline.

This how I created the about page image. Didn’t look as cool this time.

Here’s a couple of random shots. Ryan caught a cute shot of my puppies playing around. I’m just kidding about the cuteness, they look viscous.

Me playing with the macro lens.

ryan shot this from under the trampoline. It looks like I’m falling off a building.

Michelle & Jeremy’s engagement
May 13, 2008
Sunday evening was perfect weather opposed to Saturday, ridiculously heated. It took a few shots to get Michelle to get comfortable with a camera following her around. Jeremy was a natural, it’s almost the always the opposite.

Dallas & Robert
May 12, 2008
This past Saturday was insanely hot! I was surprised and very glad that no one passed out. It was a good 85 degrees in the church. Other than the heat, it was a pretty fun wedding. Dallas & Robert got married Utopia, TX. It’s a tiny little town pretty close to Garner State Park, if that helps. It’s 30 minutes past San Antonio down I-10 if your headed from Houston. The reception was outside just down the road at a nice park. There was a beautiful river on one side and mountains (by my standards) in the background.
