Laura & Brian’s engagement

Sunday was a beautiful day, I don’t think the groundhog saw his shadow.  It was incredibly warm that afternoon in the good old Herman Park.  Unfortunately, Brian was a little under the weather. After shooting a little while we almost called a day and postponed the rest of the shoot.  He didn’t let it hold him down and we ended up having a pretty fun shoot.     

Shasta & Chase’s Wedding

This wedding was amazing.  Shasta started the day getting ready at the Inn at the Ballpark.  The ceremony was at the First United Methodist downtown at Clay & Main.  The reception was the Union station at Minute Maid Park.  It’s the front entrance to Minute Maid after you buy the ticket there.  It was pretty unique.      Chase’s signature pose.   I’d never heard of this dance, the jump rope.  Several guys act like they’re jumping the double dutch.  Very Impressive! I’ve got pretty high standards with dancing if that says anything.  This guy was pretty skilled on the dance floor.

My brother recently ask me to come over and shoot a couple of random photos of flowers and what-not for decoration of the house.  We shot a bunch of those flower shots but these pics were much more fascinating to me. After we had shot several dozen of those flowers, we started to play the macro lens.  The first shot is my brother’s eye and the second one is mine.  It was a pain to focus so stinking close.   The iris is pretty funky close up.   

The Studio!!

Finally I have a presentation room up and running.  It’s been under construction for several months.  My target was to finish by the end of November,  didn’t work that way.  I didn’t know when you order furniture it takes around two months to come in.  There a few final touches that are going to be made, but it’s up and running and a bit of a relief.      

April & Josh’s wedding

April & Josh were very lucky.  They got married at Ashton Gardens Sunday afternoon which was a beautiful glorious day, opposed to the gloomy Saturday the day before.  Everything went extremely smooth and according to plan, or if anything did go wrong it wasn’t obvious.  The couple was really calm and there to just enjoy themselves. Her shoes were her something blue.               

Elena & Arturo’s engagement

Friday I thought for sure that this shoot was going be postponed to a later date.  With dark gray clouds in sky, and a strong chance of rain, it wasn’t looking very promising.  Elena & Arturo didn’t seem to care and were willing to go out and give it a try.  The rain was very off-and-on, which was a plus.  Fortunately, whenever it started to rain there happened to be a cover fairly close to run to.  The shoot went great.  

Minute Maid Park Valentines wedding

Melissa De La Paz and Eugene Smith were the winners of a contest with Sunny 99.1  that they have annually to win a free wedding in Minute Maid Park on Valentines Day.  The ceremony started at 7:30am and was held live on the morning show for everyone to listen to.  This couple was truly in love with each other and lucky to win.  They were intending to just go get married in the court.  They didn’t only get a free ceremony, they also got a free honeymoon, free bouquet and some very nice rings.  The vendors there were a lot of fun to work with, a good friend of mine, Rolando, Imagine Videos shot the video.  The make up was very nicely done by I do weddings who is also an excellent coordinator.  I arrived at the park at 4:45am, and right as I got out of the car a pretty unique limo pulled into the parking lot.  I was thinking perfect timing, expecting the bride to get out and be extremely excited.  No, it was a lady that was there to help with the wedding.      This is the icon outside the door of a co-ed getting ready room where a celebrity would hang out before a game.  I had a little fun with it on photoshop.   

Lea & Ryan’s engagement

February has turned out to be a pretty camera friendly month, I know saying this will probably ruin my luck for the shoot Friday.   I’ll just hope and pray for the best.  Lea & Ryan were a bunch of fun, not afraid to do whatever, which makes the shoot flow and more fun for the both of us.  They were just there to have a good time.   We stopped by a nice Italian restaurant Little Napoli, had a pretty good dinner afterwards.   Thanks guys!      

Chris & Toni’s engagement

This past Saturday was awesome.  Chris and Toni’s engagement shoot was all over Galveston.  We had a good time driving around finding random locations which gave us some cool shots.      

Leah & Tim’s engagement

We started the shoot pretty late yesterday evening.  Which was nothing to worry about, because it just proved how phenomenal the Nikon D3 is. Leah and Tim I had a great time with you. I can’t wait for the wedding.
