As we were walking along the path in the Mercer Arboretum shooting Shantua’s bridal, I heard a lady behind me whisper “look at that snake”. I looked down and… oh look.. a COPPER HEAD! It was about a 1 1/2 feet long and about 4 away. It was bareley noticable, slithering across the steps that I was just about to take some photos on.

Cool chance for some extreme close up shots, but I stayed back and did the zoom in thing. For safety’s sake.

Next time I go to the Mercer Arboretum, I’m gonna wear rubber boots.

May 7, 2007

The LORD blessed me with another overcast day for some beautiful light to work with, which gave us some beautiful pictures of Shantau.

Zeneeyn’s Bridal

May 6, 2007

Zeneeyn had a great dress on the color went wonderfully with her skin and I got to use my new macro lens on a few shots. When the sun was out ( the majority of the time) I could feel my head cookin’. Zeneeyn can’t wait for the wedding (hopefully it is indoors!)

The Macro Lens

May 4, 2007

I did it, I bought the 105mm macro lens. I’m loving this thing. There is so much potential, I’ll get to play with it at a bridal tomorrow. Can’t wait.

Photo 1

May 3, 2007

Yesterday My friend Cason had a photo project for one my favorite classes at HBU, photography 1. You’re supposed to get 5 shots of 7 different faces of people you don’t know, plus a self portrait. That’s sort of what inspired me to do the trampoline thing. We walked up and down Westeimer near the Montrose area shooting pics of of some interesting people while they were on their smoking break. We got all up in their face with the cameras. I got a couple of cool shots on the side while Cason did his thing. I had to post one Cason’s shots, its pretty interesting.
